SECONDS - Lavender Mugs
These mugs are seconds because of a glaze effect that sometimes happens between a clay body and the glaze. It is called “crazing” and that is what you see in the photos as those little “lines” or “cracks”.
Crazing does not take away any of the functionality of the mug. It is simply a glaze defect in the artist’s eyes (me). The mug surface is very smooth and is completely usable.

Individually thrown, handled, carved, decorated, glazed--a real labor of love and so worth it! The floral drawing has a subtle texture from the decoration process and there is delightful variation in the dahlia drawings since each one is done by hand.
Each Lavender mug is handcrafted with white stoneware clay. These mugs are hand thrown then hand carved, inlaid with an underglaze, and finished with a clear gloss glaze.

Dimensions: approximately 3.5” tall x 2.5” wide. Holds about 10-12 fl oz.
